At the lowest level in 72 years, the Congress party is losing ground with the grassroots: Ghulam Nabi Azad

The internal divisions of the Congress, which are already fighting internal disputes, are now coming to the surface. After a poor showing in the Bihar Assembly elections, the party's troubles are now mounting. Several senior party leaders are now openly coming forward and questioning the party's high command.

Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has also reacted. He has categorically said that he does not hold the leadership responsible for his party's performance in Bihar. He also questioned party leaders on the deal.

"We are all worried about defeat," he said in an interview. We are especially disappointed with the results of the Bihar Assembly and by-elections. Leadership cannot be blamed for defeat. Our people have lost contact with the ground. People should love partying. Congress is at its lowest ebb in the last 72 years.

Azad also questioned the behavior of party leaders, saying that these elections cannot be won by sitting in a 5-star hotel. The problem for leaders today is that, if they get a ticket, they book a 5 star hotel. But if the road is bad somewhere, it will not go anywhere. Now we have to end the 5 star culture, otherwise we will not be able to win a single election.

"Party functionaries have to understand their responsibility," he said of party functionaries. He will not go anywhere until he is given a position in the party but he will understand his responsibility if everyone is elected as an office bearer. Now is the time for everyone to be given a position in the party.

He said that if important changes were not made in the party, the party could suffer a great loss. The party cannot run from the appointment leader. No one in the party has been elected to office. Any leader who is currently in the party has been appointed. So some system in Congress needs to change. Which has not been done at the party at present.

Congress leader Kapil Sibal reacted to the party. He said the Congress was no longer the dominant opposition. In an interview to a private channel, Kapil Sibal said that the Congress party has been running without a leader for the last one and a half years. Even the Congress party leaders do not know what to do in the future and where to go. On the other hand, Congress leader Salman Khurshid made a statement regarding the Congress party. "There is no crisis of leadership in the Congress party," he said. Sonia and Rahul Gandhi are getting support.
