On the one hand, there is a strong anti-agriculture movement in Punjab and Chandigarh against the agriculture law framed by the central government, while the ruling party BJP itself was seen revolting against the law.

Tarn Taran Former BJP president RPS Maini had secured membership in the Shiromani Akali Dal in the presence of Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal. The BJP had made Ram Ram.

Maini, a lawyer by profession, joined the BJP in 2002. He was the BJP president of Tarn Taran district from 2009 to 2014. Until 2017, he was the spokesperson of the BJP's state unit. "The Punjabi language is being discriminated against in Jammu and Kashmir and now the central government has enacted laws that are unfair to farmers, so I resigned from the BJP," he told the media. He also alleged that now all decisions were taken by Mowdi Mandal. The BJP's Punjab unit was being ignored. No one at the center listens to us.

On this occasion, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that after ending the alliance with BJP, we will now work in all 117 constituencies of the state and strengthen the party. It is wrong for the Center to consider Sakar farmers as enemies. Farmers had earlier staged a stop railway movement. It has been a week since the agitation was called off but the government has not repealed the laws that are unfair to farmers.
