Amid ongoing tensions with China, India is trying to strengthen itself on all fronts. India has kept all three of its armies on alert. The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile will now be tested by the end of this month.

The DRDO will immediately test the BrahMos missile in the Indian Ocean region by the last week of this month. The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile is the world's fastest missile.

Recently, the current speed of DRDO's missile technology has increased from 298 kmph to 450 kmph. Government sources said the test would help improve the performance of defense services missile technology.

A squadron of fighter jets equipped with BrahMos missiles was deployed on the northern border immediately after the conflict with China began.

Last month, the Indian Navy tested a BrahMos missile to demonstrate its ability to strike a sea target more than 400 km from its warship INS Chennai.
