Allocation of Ministries in Bihar, Home Department Nitish Kumar retains

In Bihar, the ministries in Nitish Kumar's government have also been divided. Yesterday, 14 ministers were sworn in. After that, their departments have been allotted today.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has retained the Home Department. He has also retained the Vigilance Department. While Deputy CM Tarakishore Prasad has been given the portfolios of Finance, Commercial Taxes, Environment and Urban Development. The upliftment of the backward classes as well as the Ministry of Industry has been given.

Five MLAs from the JDU and seven from the BJP have been made ministers, while one each from the VIP Party and Hum Party has been given the portfolio.

The BJP has emerged as the largest party in the NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections. However, only Nitish Kumar has been chosen as the Chief Minister.
