Kabul, Ta. Saturday, October 24, 2020

Saturday was the day of the bombing in Afghanistan. The blasts at two separate locations killed at least 19 people and injured eight others, including schoolchildren, the interior ministry said. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruiting center in Kabul, Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Aria said. However no group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Violence between the Taliban and the Afghan army has escalated in Doha as the US-mediated peace talks between the two sides in Doha to end decades of fighting in Afghanistan escalate.

Earlier on Saturday, nine people were killed in a roadside bomb blast in eastern Afghanistan. A total of 19 people lost their lives in a single murderous Saturday. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a crowd of 2,000 people, killing two policemen.

The second blast occurred with a van operating to evacuate those injured in the first blast. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. But a provincial spokesman claimed that the attack was carried out by none other than the Taliban. The Taliban planted a roadside bomb that killed nine people.
