All three died on the spot. The terrorists fled after the attack. The whole area was in an uproar after the attack. The task fell to the BJP workers.
Security forces cordoned off the entire Kulgam area after the incident and conducted a search operation. In Jammu and Kashmir, there have been attacks on political leaders in the past. Incidents of terrorists firing on sarpanches are also being reported. Earlier, BJP leader Ghulam Qadir's house was attacked in October last year. Ghulam Qadir survived, but a policeman guarding him was killed.
On the other hand, Pakistan's Napak army fired indiscriminately on the Kashmir border. The Pakistani army opened fire on Indian outposts in the Poonch sector of the LoC. Fortunately, the Indian troops were not injured. India also fired back in response to Pakistan, a defense spokesman said.
