Indian Railways showed humanity by taking an unprecedented step to save a three-year-old girl. A non-stop train was run from Uttar Pradesh to Madhya Pradesh to rescue the abducted girl from Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in Lalitpur area of Uttar Pradesh. The abductors picked up a three-year-old girl from Lalitpur railway station and boarded the Raptisagar Express train bound for Bhopal. The girl's parents had lodged a complaint with the railway police after they saw CCTV footage installed at the station by the railway police.

The footage showed a young girl boarding the Raptisagar Express train. The train had taken off before the police could investigate. Realizing the incident, the police inspector at Jhansi station reported the incident to Bhopal station and requested the Raptisagar Express train to reach Bhopal without stopping at any place in between.

When Bhopal got this message, he ran the train from Lalitpur to Bhopal without stopping anywhere in between. Police were waiting for the abducted youth at Bhopal station. As soon as the train reached Bhopal, the railway police at the station apprehended the young man. She was arrested and the abducted girl was returned to her family.

This was probably the first time in the history of Indian Railways that a nonstop train ran from Uttar Pradesh to Madhya Pradesh to rescue a child.
