Mathura: Arrest of 4 suspects from Popular Front of Indiana

Mathura, Ta. 6 October 2020, Tuesday

Mathura police have arrested four people involved in a conspiracy to incite sexual and sectarian violence in Uttar Pradesh by handing over the Hathras case. The arrested persons are said to have links with the Popular Front of India. It is said that the four youths were on their way to Hathras from Delhi when they were apprehended while checking vehicles at the toll plaza.

The arrested youths have been identified as Atish-ur-Rehman, a resident of Nagla in Muzaffarnagar, Siddiqui, a resident of Mallapuram, Masood Ahmed, a resident of Zarwal in Bahraich district and Alam in Rampur district. Police have seized mobiles, laptops and suspicious literature from the youths.

Police inquiries have revealed that he has links with the Popular Front of India and its affiliate Campus Front of India. The four are being prosecuted by the Mant police station.
