The National Security Agency (NIA) has accused the Islamic State militant group of plotting to assassinate Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders and incite violent riots and kill celebrities by anesthesia.

The indictment, filed by the NIA against five Islamic State militants in Khurasan province, alleges that conversations between Saadia and Dr Ishfaq discussed plans to implement "Corona Jihad" by eliminating celebrities by injecting them with anesthesia. The five were discussing plans to ruin the country during the Koro epidemic in protest of the new law on citizenship.

The five accused in the chargesheet were Kashmiri couple Jahanjaib Sami and Hina Bashir Beg, Hyderabad resident Abdullah Basit, Pune resident Sadia Anwar Sheikh and Nabil Siddique Khatri.

The NIA further alleged that these people were planning to raise funds to buy weapons and explosives to provoke violent riots, wage anti-India war and propagate terrorist ideology.
