India has not provided counsel for Kulbhushan, lies to Pakistan in Islamabad court

- lied in the court of his own country

In the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, Pakistan had the audacity to lie in its own country's court. Pakistan on Tuesday claimed in a court in Islamabad that India had not arranged a lawyer for Kulbhushan Jadhav. The fact is that Pakistan had repeatedly turned down India's request to appoint a lawyer or Queen's Council for Jadhav.

Still last Thursday, India should provide a clever lawyer for a fair and independent hearing in Jadhav's case. But Pakistan turned down the demand. Kulbhushan Jadhav, a retired Indian Navy officer, was arrested by Pakistan in 2017 as an Indian spy and sentenced to death in April 2017. He was described as an Indian spy as well as a terrorist.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minallah last month announced that India would be given one more chance to appoint a lawyer for Jadhav. A three-judge bench on Tuesday heard the Jadhav case. Pakistan once again claimed that India does not appoint a lawyer for Jadhav. The reality was different. Pakistan's law department claimed in court that India had failed to appoint a lawyer for Jadhav by October 6.

Pakistan's Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan questioned the court on how the High Court could appoint a lawyer for Jadhav without India's consent. However, the High Court questioned the Attorney General that the High Court could appoint a lawyer for Jadhav, according to the International Court of Justice. The new date for the case was announced on November 9. Pakistan does not give up and continues to prolong the case for no reason.
