Former Air Force Chief Dhanoa

New Delhi, 29 October 2020, Thursday

Former Foreign Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif told the Pakistani parliament that Pakistan was trembling with fear that India would attack the issue of Indian Air Force fighter plane pilot wing commander Abhinandan Varghaman. Which led to the immediate release of congratulations to Pakistan.

However, as anti-Pakistan messages flooded social media after the statement, former Indian Air Force chief BS Dhanoa also echoed Khwaja Muhammad Asif's statement. The Kargil War of 1999 was remembered. At that time Pakistan was betrayed at the last minute. This time we were vigilant.

Dhanoa was the Chief of the Indian Air Force at the time of the Balakot airstrikes. He also served in the Air Force with Abhinandan's father. One could call for the demise of an entire brigade. Pakistan knew this very well. Pakistan also knew that if it crossed the Line of Control, it would suffer the consequences.

In response to a suicide attack on a convoy of Indian troops in Pulwama, Air Force fighter jets launched an air strike on Balakot. In response, the Pakistan Air Force sent a convoy of its aircraft to India the next day. The MiG-21 was shot down by a missile and landed in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. However, Pakistan had to release it within 48 hours.
