Every Hindu spends Rs 20 out of Rs 100 earned on arms: Controversial statement of Hindu Mahasabha

New Delhi, October 25, 2020, Sunday

Weapons were worshiped by the Hindu Mahasabha on the occasion of Dussehra in Meerut today. The statement given by the National Vice President of the Hindu Mahasabha, Pandit Ashok Sharma on this occasion has become controversial.

"Today, on Vijayadashami, every Hindu should take a resolution that if I earn Rs 100, I will buy a weapon worth Rs 20 from it. Hindus need to understand that all the gods and goddesses are seen wearing weapons. Everyone will have to carry weapons like Trishul, Gada, Lathi.

Abhishek Agarwal, another leader of the Hindu Mahasabha, said, "It is necessary to keep a weapon to protect sisters and daughters. Even if we have to protect the scriptures, we have to take up arms."

Leaders of the General Assembly said that Hindus need to be more vigilant at a time when fundamentalism is on the rise in the country.
