Crop. A young American man has been sentenced by a US district court to 20 years in prison for buying a gun for a couple. In 2013, a Pakistani-origin couple opened fire in California with the help of those guns.
In 2013, a Pakistani couple opened fire in California. Twelve people were killed in the indiscriminate firing. Enrique Marquez, an eight-year-old American man, was assisted in the terrorist act by Syed Rizwan Farrukh and Tashfeen Malik, American citizens of Pakistani descent.
Enrique bought guns for the Pakistani couple. Syed and Tashfeen were shot dead and Enrique was arrested in a police encounter after the shooting. It was the second-largest terrorist attack in the United States since 2001.
In 2013, Enrique was convicted of conspiracy to commit terrorism. Enrique was sentenced by District Court Judge Jesus Burnell to 20 years in prison. Enrique pleaded guilty in court.
