300 terrorists infiltrate the border in two weeks, on military alert

- 6 police and paramilitary personnel martyred in one year during national security, tribute paid

The army has been alerted after reports surfaced that about 200 militants were about to infiltrate the Pakistan border. Terrorists are on the verge of infiltrating in large numbers even before the onset of winter. On the other hand, 4 police and paramilitary personnel have been martyred in a single year while protecting the country.

BSF Inspector General NS Jamwal released the death toll. The names of the martyrs were announced and commemorated while paying tributes to the soldiers at the BSF Martyrs Memorial Pelora Camp in Jammu. Among those killed were six Border Security Force personnel deployed in addition to the LOC on the Bangladesh border and in some Maoist-affected areas. The army is also deployed in Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
