11 Indian students arrested for living illegally in US

A total of 15 students, including 11 from India, were arrested for living in the US illegally. These students have been charged with fraud. The students were arrested from Boston, Washington, Houston, Harrisburg and Newark. These students lived in the United States under the guise of a practical training program.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials arrested a total of 15 students, including 11 from India. These students continued to work in the United States under the pretext of a practical training program after the visa expired. An investigation by U.S. officials revealed that the companies named by the students under the Practical Training Program were not the same.

Under the optional practical training program, students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics are allowed one year study and after that they can work in another company or institution for another 24 months in the same field. In the name of this program, 11 students from India, one from Bangladesh, two from Libya and one from Senegal lived in the United States after completing their visa.
