Video: World's first hydrogen-fueled passenger plane takes off from Britain

- Effective in reducing air pollution

London, Ta. Tuesday 29 September 2020

The world's first hydrogen-fueled passenger plane made a successful takeoff from Britain on Monday. The aircraft is being seen as a major revolution for the aviation industry. According to experts, this will not only reduce air pollution, but also provide an alternative to fossil fuels. The aircraft was designed by British aerospace startup ZeroAvia.

Full flight from Cranfield Airport
The 6-seater Piper M-ass passenger plane flew from Cranfield Airport about 50 miles north of London. Here is the company's research and development site. This was the first time an aircraft had taken off using hydrogen fuel and made a spectacular landing.

This type of experiment has been done before
According to the company, this is the first example of an aircraft flying on hydrogen fuel. Well Miftkhov, CEO of ZeroAvia, says something like this has been done before. In which aircraft have completed their flight using hydrogen fuel. This is the first flight of a passenger plane commercially.

The British government was also involved
The company is part of ZeroAvia's first hydrogen flight HyFlyer project. Some companies are involved in this scheme. This is also supported by the British government. It is designed to be a medium-range small passenger aircraft. The aircraft completed a battery-powered test flight in June this year.

The company says its next goal is to increase the aircraft's flight range by the end of 2021. This range is up to 250 miles. This will allow the aircraft to schedule its journey between major cities such as New York to Boston and Los Angeles to San Francisco. This will provide more convenience to the passengers.
