Special Judge to retire with Babri's verdict: This is the last case of Justice Surendra Kumar Yadav's career

Lucknow Special Judge Justice Surendra Kumar Yadav will retire today after delivering his verdict in the case of demolition of a structure known as the controversial Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. Today is the last day of his career and the Babri scandal is his last case.

Surendra Kumar Yadav is a CBI special court judge. There are 32 celebrity accused in the so-called Babri Masjid demolition case, including former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, former Union Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, firebrand leader Vinay Katiyar, former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and Former Union Minister Sadhvi Uma Bharti, Sadhvi Ritambhara and others.

Justice Surendra Kumar Yadav has a very old deal with Ayodhya. The city was formerly known as Faizabad. When Surendra Kumar Yadav became a judge, his first posting was also in Faizabad i.e. today's Ayodhya. His last posting today is also in Ayodhya. He also got his first promotion in Faizabad.

In fact, he was due to retire last year. But he was given a one-year extension as he was involved in the Babri case.
