RJD ready for another major shock, likely to leave Kushwaha after Manjhi

- Bihar Assembly election atmosphere is heating up

Patna 24th September 2020 Thursday

As the Bihar Assembly elections approach, the atmosphere is heating up. Tejaswi Yadav's blood pressure was raised by rumors that former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had quit Lalu Yadav's RJD and now RLSP (Rashtriya Lok Samata Party) president Upendra Kushwaha is leaving the opposition grand coalition.

"We have called a meeting of our party members on Thursday," Madhav Anand, general secretary of former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha's party, told media on Wednesday. Currently, there is chaos in the grand coalition. Under these circumstances, our party's Movdi Mandal thought that after assessing the circumstances, if we think that the Bihar Assembly elections should be fought differently, we will be free from the grand alliance. We are going to explore various possibilities to win the election.

Madhav said that even after Dalit leader Jitan Ram Manjhi left the alliance, the leaders of the alliance did not learn any lesson. We also held a meeting with Tejaswi Yadav but nothing turned up. Now we will announce the future plan by taking stock of the situation in the meeting called by our President Upendra Kushwaha.

Given that Lalu Yadav is in jail in the fodder scam and Tejaswi Yadav is losing one Dalit leader after another, it would not be a surprise if the Bihar Assembly elections remain tug-of-war.
