Presentation of three petroleum projects worth Rs 900 crore to Bihar before elections

With the Bihar Assembly elections looming, PM Modi today gifted Rs 900 crore worth of petroleum projects to Bihar.

PM Modi today inaugurated the Durgapur-Banka LPG pipeline project as well as two gas bottling plants through video conferencing.

He said the gas pipeline would boost industries in the fertilizer, electricity and steel sectors in Bihar and reduce pollution.

The 193 km Durgapur-Banka pipeline constructed by IOC is part of the Haldia-Durgapur pipeline expansion project, the foundation stone of which was laid in 2019. Part of which has already been completed.

Apart from this, PM Modi also inaugurated an LPG bottling plant. An investment of Rs 131 crore has been made in the plant in Baka, which will meet the gas requirement of the surrounding districts.

PM Modi said that gas-based industries and petro connectivity would create new employment opportunities as well as provide gas and CNG to the people of Bihar.
