PM's address to IPS officials

New Delhi, 4 September 2020, Friday

PM Modi today addressed the new IPS officers who have completed their training at the National Police Academy through video conferencing.

The PM appealed to women police officers to work with local women to stop terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and stop the youth from going astray.

"During the lockdown during the Corona transition, the police jammed the people and these scenes were seen all over India, which is changing the image of the police," he said. The culture of the station also needs to change and make it a center of social trust.

PM Modi said that if the police officers go to do anything after watching Singham films, the work gets spoiled and many other good things are left to be done. That connection will not last long. If you build a bridge of love, people will remember you even after you retire.

PM Modi also advised IPS officers to do yoga and pranayama to reduce stress in their personal lives. He said, "You will always be happy because of pranayama and yoga but stress is not something you cannot manage."
