Petrol and diesel prices declined marginally in the country

State-owned oil companies have slashed petrol and diesel prices from today. In Delhi, petrol was priced at Rs 81.72 per liter while diesel was priced at Rs 72.78.

Indian Oil Corp. According to a statement issued by PTI, petrol and diesel were sold at Rs 81.71 and Rs 72.78 per liter in Delhi from today.

In Mumbai, petrol will cost Rs 81.99 per liter while in Kolkata, petrol will cost Rs 83.23 per liter. Similarly, petrol will be sold at Rs 84.77 per liter in Chennai, Rs 82.08 per liter in Noida, Rs 81.24 per liter in Ranchi and Rs 81.98 per liter in Lucknow.

As far as diesel is concerned, it was sold at Rs 72.78 per liter in Delhi, Rs 79.27 per liter in Mumbai, Rs 76.28 per liter in Kolkata and Rs 78.12 per liter in Chennai.

Brent crude prices have been falling for the past three sessions. Today the price was 40 40 per barrel. Government oil companies Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum announce prices every morning at 6 am. These companies are the ones who inform the dealers by deciding the price of oil and diesel.
