The government has decided to sell its stake in state-owned insurer LIC, prompting outrage from former Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

He has directly targeted PM Modi, saying that the Prime Minister is campaigning to sell state-owned companies.

"The government's policy of selling state-owned companies is shameful. The Modi government's decision to sell LIC regardless of the people's future is shameful," he said.
