Decades of conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, two small countries in Asia and Europe, have resurfaced. Between the two countries lies an area of 4400 square kilometers called Nagorna-Karabakh. Both countries claim the area as their own.

Talks between the two countries have been going on since July. But on the 27th the literal conflict turned into a military conflict and now the armies of the two countries are facing each other. A total of 23 deaths have been reported on the second day of the war. Both countries claim to have occupied the area themselves.

Conflict continues between the two countries over the region, but military equipment, including tanks, has been rocked. The conflict began in 1988. Both territories were originally part of Soviet Russia.

At the time of the partition of Russia, Joseph Stalin decided to declare Nagorna-Karabakh an independent territory. But both neighboring Armenia and Azerbaijan wanted to include it in their territory. The conflict has been going on ever since.

At present, countries like USA, Russia, France have appealed to both the parties to keep peace. Moreover, Turkey has taken the step of escalating the war by supporting Azerbaijan. Russia has traditionally been a friend of Armenia. As Iran's border touches the two countries, Iran has also shown readiness to mediate.

The conflict has been raging in the region since 1980, with more than 30,000 civilians killed and more than 1 million fleeing. The territory claimed by both countries is occupied by Armenian Christians and Muslims in Nagorna-Karabakh. The area was part of Azerbaijan during the Soviet era. But he had enough freedom.

That is why internationally it is considered an independent part of Azerbaijan. On the other hand there is a large population of Armenians. Armenia has also annexed part of the area and is now seeking to occupy the entire area. Azerbaijan says it will soon regain territory.

Azerbaijan also claimed that the territory it had controlled so far had been occupied by Armenia. On the other hand, Armenia claims that we have done a great disservice to Azerbaijan. In order to control the situation, services such as the Internet have been shut down in Azerbaijan and the army has been deployed.
