India could strike at any time: provocative report in Chinese newspaper

Beijing, Ta. 26. Saturday, September, 2020

Amid the tensions created by China on the Ladakh front, the Chinese media and experts are inciting the Chinese people against India.

A Chinese newspaper quoted Chinese military experts as saying that India had doubled its troop numbers on the Ladakh front and that Drag would have to be prepared for a surprise attack by India at any time.

Wang Hongguang, a retired Chinese military official, was quoted as saying that India needs only 50,000 troops on the LAC but has sent 100,000 troops to the border, most of which are just 50 kilometers from China. They could enter the Chinese border in a matter of hours.

Wong, a former deputy commander of the Eastern Theater Command, said China was not in a position to relax before November. He made the remarks at a time when talks were under way between the two countries' military officials.
