Tensions between India and China (India-China Border Tension) are rising in Ladakh. A firing incident between Indian and Chinese troops near the Line of Actual Control on Pangog Tso Lake took place late Monday night. China's state-run media Global Times has accused Indian troops of firing on the southern coast of Pangog Tso.

However, sources close to the Indian Army said that the firing from China first took place in Indian territory, followed by retaliation from India. The current situation is claimed to be under control.

It is noteworthy that this is the first such firing between Indian and Chinese troops on the border since 1975. A statement from Colonel Zhang Shuili, spokesman for the Chinese People's Liberation Army's Western Theater Command, issued a statement on the current situation on the LAC. It said there was an alleged provocative action by Indian troops, which led to retaliation from Chinese troops.

Indian Army sources confirmed that warning shots were fired. China's eye is on our black top and helmet top. Troops deployed on the border have been on high alert ever since China attempted to occupy the peaks.

Our troops have taken full control of these two peaks. Outraged, Chinese troops are advancing to gain control of both peaks.
