In the Rajya Sabha, the government said the Tablighi Jamaat was responsible for the spread of Korona

- The crowd was in one place for a long time without any forethought

New Delhi Dated 21st September 2020 Monday

The Center had today responded in the Rajya Sabha on the link between Korona infection and Tablighi Jamat. In response to a question, the government said that without a mask, sanitizer or any other precaution, the Tablighi crowd had been staying in one place for a long time and hence the transition to Corona had increased. Police arrested 223 members of the Tablighi Jamaat in this regard. The investigation into Maulana Saad, the head of the Jamaat, was still ongoing.

It is worth remembering here that at the end of March this year, thousands of local and foreign Tablighis had gathered at the Nizamuddin Center. These people did not follow the mask or sanitizer or any other precaution. After leaving here, many preachers spread to different parts of the country and due to them the transmission of corona increased. Maulana Saad is said to be the leader of the Tablighi Jamaat.

According to Muslim scholar and researcher Atiq-ur-Rehman, the Tabligh Samaj was established during the freedom struggle. These people are Sunni Muslims and preach Islam. It claims to have 150 million members worldwide. However, members are not permanent and there is no register of membership.

These people go to different cities and gather the locals in the Maraqaj Mosque and talk about the propagation of Islam. Agni (Southeast) has the largest number of centers and followers in Asia. Tablighi bail is one of the basic tenets of Islam. These people do not accept modern science, so the more educated Muslims and scholars do not get along with this community.

Maulana Saad is deeply associated with the Tablighi Jamaat. His great grandfather Maulana Ilyas Kandhalvi is said to have founded this Jamat in 1927.
