In the midst of the election campaign, Trump took down the 'Modi card', praising PM Modi

In the midst of the ongoing presidential election campaign in the US, US President Donald Trump has once again lavished praise on Indian PM Narendra Modi, who is also being seen as trying to attract Indian voters.

"PM Modi is my friend and a great leader. He is doing a great job. The work he is doing is not easy but he is doing well. India has found a great man and a leader," Trump said.

Referring to his visit to India, Trump said, "We saw in India that the people there are wonderful. India is an incredible country and it is definitely a very big country."

Referring to PM Modi's event in Houston, he said, "This was also an incredible event. We are getting a lot of support from India and PM Modi. I think Americans of Indian descent will vote for us."
