New Delhi, 29 September 2020 Tuesday

Controversial BJP MP Dr Subramanian Swamy said the credit for the Ram temple should go to Congress Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, not Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not provided anything in this regard.

In an interview to a TV channel, Swamy said, "As the head of government, I do not think Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done anything on the Ram temple issue."

'We all discussed the Ram temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done nothing on behalf of the government. Yes, I have already given the name of those who did anything for Ram temple. Congress Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi did something for the Ram temple, ”Swamy said

Although it is not clear when Swamy gave the interview on the TV channel, it was Tejinder Singh Bagga, a BJP corporator from Hari Nagar, New Delhi, who took the issue to heart. Bagga wrote on social media in derogatory words, 'Girgit Swami says that the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi has nothing to contribute in the construction of Ram temple, Girgit Swami gives the credit of Ram temple to Rajiv Gandhi, speak up!
