Gangrape of a Dalit girl and cutting off her tongue, a shocking incident in Hathras

After gangraping a Dalit girl in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, the thugs cut off her tongue so that she could not say anything. The girl was currently fighting for her life.

The girl had been unconscious for the past one week. He had earlier lodged a complaint of molestation with the village police. She was gang-raped by four youths in the village and then had her tongue cut out. The medical examination also revealed that the girl's spinal cord was also broken.

The 19-year-old, who had been unconscious for a week, regained consciousness on September 21. She was subsequently medically examined. For the last thirteen days, she was rushed to JN Medical College Hospital in Aligarh. Doctors said her condition was critical.

Police arrested three youths believed to be involved in the crime. On the 14th of this month, four youths from Chandpa village in Hathras gangraped the Dalit girl in a millet field. Then she cut out her tongue for fear of being recognized. After that, this Dalit girl remained unconscious till Navek Day. The police had applied Section 307 (attempted murder) of the Indian Penal Code against the accused.

Complaints were growing in this village that the grandfather of the Thakur people was putting maza. The population of the village is 450 of which 150 are Thakurs, 150 are Brahmins and 140 are Dalits.

On the morning of the 14th, the young woman was growing green fodder for her animals with her brothers. Her brother took the bait and left. While Anne's mother was plowing a short distance away, the four young men grabbed her by the mouth and took her to a millet field. There was insolence
