No-confidence motion against 12 MPs led by Ahmed Patel to Harivansh: Six Union ministers in defense

On the one hand, the Koro epidemic in the country has turned black, on the other hand, a war-like situation has arisen in Ladakh with China. In the midst of such an atmosphere, in the monsoon session of Parliament, a fight broke out between the MPs in the Rajya Sabha on Sunday over the issue of agriculture sector bills and insulted the dignity of Parliament.

Opposition MPs rushed to the well, ignored copies of the Covid-19's social distance rules, tore up copies of the bill in front of Vice President Harivansh, broke the mic, and climbed on the table.

In the midst of all this fuss, the Modi government passed two agricultural bills, which were considered historic for the country's farmers, by a voice vote. It will now be sent to the President before it becomes law. Action is likely to be taken against the MPs who caused a stir in the Rajya Sabha. On the other hand, 12 MPs, led by senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel, have filed a no-confidence motion against the vice-president.

The state government introduced two agricultural bills, the Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Service Bill, 2020 in the state. Both these bills have been passed in the Lok Sabha.

During the debate on the bill, the opposition demanded a split vote. But when Vice President Harivansh rejected the opposition's demand, Congress, DMK, Trinamool Congress MPs rushed to the well and caused a huge uproar. Opposition lawmakers tore down the rule book, broke the microphone and climbed onto the official's desk. As a result, the Rajya Sabha had to adjourn for 15 minutes.

The problem started when the House was extended beyond the stipulated time to pass both the agricultural bills. The opposition believed that the meeting could be extended only by consensus.

Opposition groups called the bill anti-peasant, and opposition lawmakers chanted slogans. As a result, Agriculture Minister Narendrasinh Tomar shortened his reply and Vice-Chairman Harisinh took action to approve the bills.

The vice-president rejected the proposal of four opposition MPs to send both the agriculture bills before a parliamentary committee for further review, but members of Congress, Trinamool Congress, CPM and DMK demanded a split vote on the issue.

However, Vice President Harivansh rejected his demand, saying that a vote on a bill could be split only when MPs were in their seats. As a result, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien rushed to the well and raised the rule book in front of the vice-president.

The microphones of the Parliament officials were smashed during the commotion. In addition to Derek O'Brien, DMK MP Tiruchi Shiva, Congress' K.C. Venugopal and CPM's K.K. Ragesh tore up copies of agricultural bills and tossed the papers in the air. Following all this fuss, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for 15 minutes.

The opposition chanted anti-government slogans when the House reconvened, but ignored it and Vice-Chairman Harivansh proceeded to pass the bills by voice vote.

The first bill passed by a voice vote and the opposition's proposal to send it to the selection committee was rejected and the two parliaments tried to climb on the table of Rajya Sabha officials. In the end both bills passed by a voice vote and the opposition's proposals for amendments were rejected.

A high-level meeting of the government was held at the Vice-President's residence in the Rajya Sabha after a huge uproar, in which there was a discussion on taking drastic action against the MPs who rioted in the House. On the other hand, 12 parties, led by senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel, have filed a no-confidence motion before Vice President Harivansh. He called the way the bill was passed a murder of democracy.

Meanwhile, the central government came to the rescue of the vice-president. Six Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Prakash Javadekar, Prahlad Joshi, Piyush Goyal, Thavarchand Gehlot and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi defended the vice-president at a press conference and lashed out at the opposition over the Hobala issue in Parliament. He also accused the opposition of misleading farmers on the issue of agricultural bills.

If rules are broken in Rajya Sabha, I will break Mike tomorrow too: Derek's glimpse

The Opposition made a big fuss while passing the agriculture bills in the Rajya Sabha. Amidst a flurry of opposition, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien tore up the rule book in front of Vice President Harivansh and smashed the mic. Accusing the central government of fraud, Derek O'Brien said the government has broken every rule in parliament.

They cut the feed of Rajya Sabha TV so that the country cannot watch. He has censored RSTV. We have the evidence. "We can't sit still when there's a robbery going on inside Parliament," Derek O'Brien said after leaving the House. If something goes wrong we will fight.

With regard to tearing up the rule book, he said, he has been falsely accused. There is no footage that shows that I have torn the rule book. On the allegation of breaking the mic, the Trinamool MP said that the BJP is breaking the back of democracy. He has no regrets about what happened in Parliament today. If the rule is broken in Parliament, I will do it again tomorrow.

New delhi date. Sunday, September 20, 2020

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called today a historic day in India's agricultural history as three controversial agriculture-related bills were passed in Parliament on Sunday.

He said today is a big day in the agricultural history of India. I congratulate my diligent breadwinners on passing an important bill in Parliament. These bills will not only bring about a radical change in the agricultural sector, but will empower millions of farmers.

At the same time, Prime Minister Modi said that for decades, our farmer brothers and sisters were bound by various constraints and had to face intermediaries. With the passage of the bill in Parliament, the food givers have now got freedom from all. This will strengthen the efforts of farmers to double their income and ensure their prosperity.

Our agricultural sector is in dire need of modern techniques, as it will help diligent farmers. Now that these bills have been passed, our farmers will have easier access to future technology. This will not only increase the yield, but will bring good results. This is a welcome step.

The Prime Minister added, "I have said it before and I will say it again that the MSP (support price) system will continue." Government procurement will continue. We are here to serve our farmers. We will do our best to help the food givers and ensure a better life for their future generations.
