Among the growing number of corona patients across the country, Dr. Randeep Guleria, director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), has warned that the corona virus outbreak in India will continue in 2021.

"We are not saying that there will be no epidemic in 2021, but it is safe to say that the impact of corona in 2021 will be much less than it is now," said Dr Guleria, a member of the central government's Covid Task Force, in an interview with a news channel.

"Corona cases are on the rise again. In some parts of the country, there seems to be another wave of corona. There are two reasons behind this. One is the increased testing of corona and the other is that people are not vigilant to avoid corona," he said.

He hoped that the corona vaccine could be available by the end of this year. Many companies in India, including three indigenous companies, are working on the vaccine but the vaccine needs to be safe. It will take a few more months for the vaccine to be developed. The vaccine will be ready by the end of this year.
