Pulwama on 28th September 2020 Monday

Clashes broke out between militants and security forces in the Pulwama area of Jammu and Kashmir this morning. The two were shot by security and were being identified.

However, an Indian Army jawan was also injured in the clash. The jawan was shot in the leg by a terrorist.

Security forces cordoned off the area after receiving information that militants were hiding in Sambura in the Avantipura area of south Kashmir. Meanwhile, agitated militants opened fire on security. Security forces returned fire. Both militants were killed in the clashes. Security was investigating which group the two belonged to and who they were.

A security spokesman said the militants were now trying new measures. They hid in bunkers under the toilets. The security forces believed that the militant groups were looking for new places to hide after their fierceness against the militants increased and more and more militants started firing. One of the reasons may be that living with locals was now considered a greater threat to terrorists.

Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Dilbag Singh said there were more than one instances in Jammu and Kashmir where militants were found hiding under toilets or in septic tanks.
