Bihar DGP Pandey took VRS, wanting to contest elections

-Sushant was quarantined in Mumbai on the issue

Patna 23rd September 2020 Wednesday

Bihar Director General of Police Gupteswar Pandey, who went to Mumbai to investigate the untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and was forcibly quarantined by the Mumbai Municipality, took VRS from the IPS job. Informed sources said he wanted to contest the Bihar Assembly elections.

The Governor of Bihar had accepted his application.

Pandey announced on Twitter that he would be speaking on social media on Wednesday, September 23. I am going to present this allegation in the name of Mary's testimony of my story. Meanwhile, actress Riya Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Maneshinde said the speed with which the Bihar DGP's VRS application was accepted by the Center and the Bihar governor was similar to the speed with which the Bihar government transferred the case of Sushant's untimely death to the CBI and the Center approved it.

Gupteswar Pandey was also constantly active on social media. He said that it was not Riya's fault for criticizing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. After Sushant's family lodged a complaint with the Bihar police, Pandey went to Mumbai to investigate the case and the way the Mumbai municipality forced him to stay in quarantine, Pandey became known in the media across the country overnight.

Even in 2009, Pandey had taken VRS to contest on a BJP ticket but did not get a ticket at that time. Nitish Kumar's government accepted Pandey's VRS application eight to nine months later. Pandey was the Inspector General at the time. He was later promoted to Director General of Police. Informed sources say that this time too he wants to contest the Bihar Assembly elections. His application for VRS was accepted by the Governor within 24 hours. It is possible that he will get a BJP ticket this time.
