A CBI court has acquitted all the accused in today's Babri demolition case. Special court judge SK Yadav said in his judgment that the demolition of the Babri Masjid was not premeditated.
Those acquitted include former Deputy Prime Minister and senior BJP leader LK Advani. Advani welcomed the verdict with the slogan "Jai Shri Ram".
"I wholeheartedly welcome the court's verdict in the Babri Masjid demolition case. This decision shows my personal and BJP's faith and commitment to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Like the rest of the country, I am looking forward to the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya," he said.
Meanwhile, after the verdict, a festive atmosphere was witnessed at Advani's house. Sweets were distributed. On the other hand, another BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi said that the whole country was happy with the verdict.
