A total of nine militants were nabbed in Kerala and West Bengal in the NIA raid

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in Kerala and West Bengal and arrested nine suspected terrorists linked to Al Qaeda. The raids took place in Ernakulam in Kerala and Murshidabad area in West Bengal. Three militants were nabbed in Ernakulam and six in Murshidabad. The NIA has been keeping an eye on these people for a long time. Most young people are around the age of twenty. All are workers. The NIA kept an eye on these people on the issue of terrorist plots. These people were associated with the Pakistan-based Al Qaeda module.

The NIA had received information that youths associated with Al Qaeda modules were active in various parts of the country. That is why the NIA raided various places in the country and nabbed the youths associated with the terrorist organization. These people were planning terrorist attacks at various places. Further investigation was ongoing.

The NIA seized various materials including digital equipment, documents, jihadi literature, sharp weapons from these people and their interrogation was ongoing.
