250 inmates in a Saudi jail cell, a suffocating inmate seeks PM Modi's help

- Locked down the Indians who broke the lockdown

New Delhi, 14 September 2020, Monday

An Indian prisoner suffocated as more than 150 Indians were kept like animals in a Saudi jail cell and sought the help of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Most of these prisoners were caught breaking the lockdown. Most Indian prisoners are said to have been treated like animals. Mustakim, a young Muslim from Deoband, urged the Prime Minister on social media to save us.

An audio-video clip posted on social media claimed that thousands of Indians violating the lockdown were languishing in jail like animals. The message went viral in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The Indian inmates in a Saudi Arabian prison quietly made the video clip and posted it on social media.

Mustakim's family members also urged the Prime Minister to use his power to free these people. The youth also claimed that Bangladeshis and Pakistanis caught violating the lockdown were being released while we were stuffed into a room. We were treated like animals.

In Saharanpur, Mustakim's wife Shabana said that her husband had gone to work in Saudi Arabia before the lockdown. The clip released on social media is of my husband Mustakim. He was being harassed in a Saudi prison.
