The government is reviewing the age of marriage for women, a decision will be taken soon: Prime Minister Modi

Addressing the nation on the occasion of Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned important issues like self-reliant India, dispute with China in Ladakh, Koro epidemic. In his address from the Red Fort, PM Modi also saluted the daughters of the country. Meanwhile, PM Modi said that the government was reviewing the age of marriage for women.

The Prime Minister said what would be the right age for a woman to get married, for which we have formed a committee. As soon as the report comes, the appropriate decision will be taken regarding the age of marriage of the woman.

30,000 crore was deposited in women's accounts

PM Modi said that 40 crore Jandhan accounts have been opened in the country. About 22 crore of them belong to women. During Corona's April-May-June, about Rs 30,000 crore was directly transferred to women's accounts in these three months. In India today, women are working in underground coal mines, while warplanes are also touching the heights of the sky.

PM Modi said that our experience says that whenever women power in India gets an opportunity, they have brightened the name of the country, strengthened the country. He said that the decision to give 6 months leave to pregnant women with salary, to give freedom to the women of our country who were suffering from teen divorce, the government has worked on this. Our government is also constantly concerned about the health of poor daughters.
