The Delhi government has launched an electric vehicle policy to reduce pollution in the capital

We all know that Delhi, the capital of the country, is also the capital of pollution. Then the Delhi government has taken an important decision to reduce this pollution. The government on Friday launched an electric vehicle policy in Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given this information through a press conference. Describing the new policy as progressive, Kejriwal claimed that it would reduce pollution. Apart from this, he hopes to register about five lakh electric vehicles in the next five years.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, "We have launched an electric vehicle policy today. With the implementation of this policy, my objective is to strengthen Delhi's economy, create employment and reduce pollution levels. This electric vehicle policy is the most progressive policy in the country.

Kejriwal also hoped that five lakh electric vehicles would be registered under the new policy in the next five years. To implement this policy, the Delhi government will set up an 'EV Cell'. Apart from this, the government aims to build 200 charging stations in the next two years, so that one charging station can be set up every three kilometers.

The cost of constructing the charging station will be borne by the EV Fund. At the same time, a State Electric Vehicle Board will be constituted, with the Minister of State for Transport as its chairman.
