Strange order from North Korean dictator, order to kill and eat pet dogs

Pyongyang, August 19, 2020, Wednesday

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has ordered the capture of pet dogs as a symbol of spending money. According to sources, some dogs have been caught and sent to government zoos and distributed from here to butcher shops.

The owners of these dogs are afraid that these dogs are being used to alleviate the public food crisis in the country. In July, Kim Jong Un declared that keeping pets was a violation of the law.

According to a North Korean report, Kim Jong Un said that keeping pets in the house is considered a tendency towards capitalist thinking. The North Korean administration has since searched their homes, where pet dogs are kept. The administration is asking such people to hand over the dog in front of them as well as confiscating it.

According to sources, some of the dogs have been sent to the government zoo and sold to a butcher shop. Amid the Koro crisis, North Korea is also fighting a food crisis.

About 60 percent of North Korea's 25 million people are facing a food crisis. This is a more serious problem. A number of sanctions have been imposed on North Korea to continue its nuclear program.
