New delhi date. 7 August 2020, Friday

Indian Railways has taken an important decision regarding certain posts for recruitment. According to the decision, preparations are being made to end the years-long system of hiring 'bungalow peons' or sailors working at the homes of senior officers. It is learned that from now on, no new recruitment will be made for this post. The Railway Board also issued an order in the matter on Thursday.

The Railway Board said in its order that issues related to telephone attendant co-post sailors (TADK) were being reviewed. "The issue of appointment of TADK is under consideration in the Railway Board," the order said. Therefore, it has been decided that the process of recruitment of new people for TADK posts should not be taken forward and no appointment should be made immediately.

The order said, "Apart from this, from July 1, 2020, a review will be conducted on the issue of approval given to such appointments and the board will be informed of its status." It will also be strictly followed in all railway institutions.
