Rising petrol-diesel prices, ever-increasing prices have raised the concerns of the common man

State-owned oil company Indian Oil (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) on Friday hiked petrol prices once again.

Petrol prices have been hiked by 19 paise per liter in the national capital today. Once again, rising petrol prices have raised concerns among the common man.

It may be mentioned here that even on the first Thursday, the price was increased by 10 paise per liter, while the price of diesel remained stable. Today, the price of a liter of petrol in Delhi is Rs 81.19 and the price of diesel is Rs 73.56 per liter.

It may be mentioned here that petrol and diesel prices change daily from 6 am, new prices are implemented from 6 am.

The price of petrol almost doubles after inclusion of excise duty, dealer commission and other taxes.

Petrol and diesel prices change on a daily basis depending on the exchange rate of foreign currency as well as the price of crude in the international market.

Today, petrol-diesel prices in 4 leading cities of the country remained as follows

Delhi petrol is priced at Rs 81.19 and diesel at Rs 73.56 per liter.

Mumbai petrol is priced at Rs 87.87 and diesel at Rs 80.11 per liter.

Kolkata petrol is priced at Rs 82.72 and diesel at Rs 77.06 per liter.

Chennai petrol is priced at Rs 84.26 and diesel at Rs 78.86 per liter.
