Interpol issues red corner notice against Nirav Modi's wife in money laundering case

Fugitive Nirav Modi is facing a money laundering case in India. Now Interpol has also issued a red corner notice against Nirav Modi's wife. A red corner notice has already been issued against Nirav Modi. In India, a money laundering case is already pending against Nirav Modi's wife. Interpol is an international police organization. Interpol's Red Corner Notice means that the international arrest of the offender will begin. Earlier, Interpol had also issued notices against Nirav Modi, his brother Nehal and sister Purvi.

Fugitive Nirav Modi is currently in Britain. His extradition case is pending in a British court. Earlier in July, the court had extended Nirav Modi's detention in Britain till August 6. Nirav Modi was produced before the court on August 6 via video conference. In which his custody has been extended till August 27.

The trial of Nirav Modi's extradition is set to begin in Britain in September. It may be mentioned that Nirav Modi had defrauded Punjab National Bank of crores of rupees. He has since fled abroad and India has declared him a fugitive.
