In Peru, Corona took the most victimized journalists


No other country in the world has so many media workers dead.

In one Latin American country, the Corona was reported to be the biggest victim of the media. No other journalist in the world has died from corona in any country.

On Wednesday evening, the College of Journalists of Lima said that a Catholic priest in a church held an online prayer meeting for the peace of mind of at least 22 journalists. The reporters included 19 men and three women.

Of course, as in other countries, a large number of Corona Warriors died here. But in terms of media workers, most of the world's journalists died here in the wake of Corona. "You can imagine what the public would be like if so many media workers died from corona," said Juliana Linez, general secretary of the National Association of Journalists of Peru in Lima.

A total of 82 journalists were killed in Peru between March 16 and August 17 this year, according to the association. The total population of Peru is 33 million. So far 26,800 people have been killed by the corona. It included 82 journalists. Many journalists were freelancers and others worked for American TV, radio and news agencies.
