Imran Khan's confidant and CPEC chairman General Asim Salim Bajwa's crores of corruption

Pakistan's military, which is facing economic woes, has been plagued by massive corruption, with a report claiming that former General Asim Salim Bajwa has made millions by serving in the army.

Pakistani journalist Ahmed Noorani has revealed in his report that the former general's business is spread in Pakistan, UAE, Canada and the United States. He committed massive corruption during his service in the army, which could lead to millions of business empires.

Bajwa is the chairman of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and has also served as special assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Asim Bajwa has 6 brothers and 3 sisters, the report said, adding that Bajwa's younger brothers opened their first pizza restaurant in 2002, the same year he started working with General Pervez Musharraf as Lieutenant Colonel, at one point his brother Nadeem Bajwa was a pizza delivery boy.

Today, Nadeem and Asim Bajwa's wife own 99 companies, the Bajwa family owns 133 restaurants of the Pizza Company, valued at about 4 40 million, of which 99 companies are 66 major companies, the other 33 are its branch companies.
