People injured in the grenade attack were admitted to various hospitals and the condition of one of them is very serious. The condition of the injured was disclosed by the health officer of Karachi. Karachi police chief Ghulam Nabi Mann said several people were injured in the grenade attack on the rally. An organization called Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) has claimed responsibility for the attack. This is a separatist organization and it has been very active for the last few months.
There were also three explosions in the area in June which were claimed by SRA. Four people were killed in the attack, including two soldiers.
