Grenade attack on army convoy in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, 6 civilians injured, search operation launched

In Baramulla district of north Kashmir, militants hurled a grenade at an army convoy. The grenade landed on the side of the road causing an explosion. Meanwhile, 6 civilians were injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. At the same time, security forces cordoned off the area and conducted a search operation to nab the attackers.

An official said the militants made a nefarious move to target an army convoy near the Azad Gunj Bridge in Baramulla. However, the grenade fell on the side of the road and exploded due to missing target. The blast injured six locals who are undergoing treatment.

Terrorist organizations are frustrated by the operations being carried out by the security forces. In August, security forces killed 16 militants during clashes at various places in Kamarajipora, Kriri Baramulla, the original Chitragram Shopia, Ganopora Kralgund area of ​​Handwara, Killura Shopia, Jadura, Pulwama and Pantha Chowk Srinagar. Apart from this, the army has also killed an intruder in Rajouri, Jammu.
