The report has come as a huge relief to the Korona virus that has spread in the country. According to the report, the most widespread species of corona in the country is currently from Europe. The relief is that earlier there were different species of Covid-19 all over the country but now it will be easier to fight against it as there is more than one species. The report also said that the lockdown imposed by the government has helped prevent the spread of the virus on a large scale.

Report submitted to the Minister of Health
The report has been prepared by the Department of Biotechnology and was handed over to Health Minister Harshvardhan on Saturday. The A2a holotype reportedly spread itself by removing other holotypes already present. A holotype means one who belongs to a group. According to the report, India initially had several species of corona and the virus came from Europe, America and East Asia.

As far as the corona is concerned, many different species like A2a holotype, D614G, 19A and 19B strain are spread all over the world. India also had this species of corona. The A2a holotype came to India from Europe and Saudi Arabia. Strains from Wuhan in the country were 19A and 19B when the virus first spread in January, but those cases were lower than in A2a. After that only A2a holotype remained in the country. D614G was spread in Delhi which is now weakening. Due to this, the number of active cases of Corona in the capital has been steadily declining.

The Corona lockdown, which was reportedly carried out during the months of March to May, has had a good effect, according to the report. Many new species of the virus could not come to India due to the international travel ban and similarly the existing species could not spread from one place to another due to the interstate travel ban.
