EC announces guidelines for Bihar Assembly elections

The Election Commission has issued guidelines for the Bihar Assembly elections. Under the guidelines, the Election Commission has said that nominations for Bihar Assembly elections will be filed online.

According to the guideline, candidates will be able to deposit security money online this time. At the same time, this will be the first time in the election that any candidate will deposit security money online.

There can be a maximum of five people with a candidate for a door-to-door campaign in an election campaign. Regarding public meetings and road shows, the Election Commission has said that public meetings and road shows will be allowed only as per the instructions of the Home Ministry.

The Election Commission has asked for caution in view of the Koro crisis. As per the guidelines, face masks, sanitizers, thermal scanners, gloves, facial PP kits will be used during the election process and social distance rules will also be followed.
