A two-day curfew in Srinagar on suspicion of violence

A two-day curfew was imposed in Srinagar from today and roads as well as the Srinagar market were sealed on the first anniversary of the repeal of Article 370 of the Constitution, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Bhumi Pujan of Ram Mandir is also to be held in Ayodhya tomorrow. On this occasion, the Indian Army and intelligence received information that Pakistan was planning to carry out a maneuver in Jammu and Kashmir. A two-day curfew was declared in Srinagar as a precautionary measure. Following the corona infection, renewed sanctions were imposed in the Kashmir Valley area on Monday till August 5.

Srinagar District Magistrate Shahid Chaudhary said the administration had decided to impose a curfew in Srinagar as a precautionary measure after receiving information that separatist and pro-Pakistan groups in Jammu and Kashmir would try to create unrest. All traffic in the entire Kashmir Valley area was banned except for essential services and emergency services and all roads and markets were sealed. Earlier, the intelligence department had received information that pro-Pakistan groups and militant groups were plotting a violent attack in Jammu and Kashmir in the first year of revoking the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. According to a report, the terrorists were on the verge of carrying out a major attack like Pulwama. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, the administration took this decision only on Sunday. Only it was implemented from today i.e. from the 4th of August. A curfew was imposed in Srinagar for two days today and tomorrow.
