Zakir Naik's connection with the communal riots in Delhi

Zakir Naik, who made provocative speeches, has been linked to communal riots in Delhi, a special investigation team of Delhi Police has said.

The investigation has revealed that Zakir Naik, one of the accused in the Delhi riots, was found in Malaysia. Zakir Naik has now taken refuge in Malaysia to escape the Indian government.

Police arrested a mastermind named Khalid Saifi for the riots in Delhi in February. From the passport details obtained from him, the police came to know that Khalid had met with Zakir in Malaysia. Had a meeting with Khalid.

An investigation by the police also revealed that money was also sent to Khalid Saifi by an NRI living in Singapore for the riots. The money was transferred to Khalid's NGO.

Police say Ishrat Jahan, who made provocative speeches during anti-CA protests, also received funding from abroad. He has also been arrested on riot charges.
